For Family Reports, Single Expert Reports, and Child Impact Assessments, all material – including subpoenaed documents – must be submitted electronically no later than 14 days before the scheduled interview date. Please note that any documentation received after the interview will not be reviewed.
Payment in full is required 21 days prior to the interview date.
Cancellations made within 21 days of the scheduled interview date are non refundable.
Evidence by video
An upfront payment for two hours of cross-examination ($880) is payable no less than 21 days prior to the date the Expert is required. This fee is non refundable. Any additional time will be invoiced after the cross-examination at $440 per hour, or part thereof. The charged time includes waiting time and commences from when the Expert is asked to be on standby.
If additional material is to be read prior to the cross-examination this will be charged at the same rate for cross-examination and is payable prior to the cross-examination.
Evidence in person
If the Expert is required to attend the Newcastle Registry to give evidence in person there is an upfront fee of $2200. This fee is non – refundable. Additional fees will be charged for travel to Registries other than Newcastle. Any additional time will be invoiced after the cross-examination at $440 per hour, or part thereof. The charged time includes waiting time and commences from when the Expert is asked to be on standby.
