Naomi Lewis is an experienced Child Expert, specialising in high-quality, child-focused assessments and reports in complex and sensitive family matters. With almost three decades of experience working with children and families across statutory and court-based settings, she is highly regarded for her professionalism, clear clinical judgement and compassionate approach. At Child Expert Network, Naomi provides child consultation in mediation and undertakes Child Impact Assessments.
Alongside her work with Child Expert Network, Naomi is a member of the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Independent Assessor Panel, and is a qualified Family Group Conference Facilitator and Bringing Up Great Kids Facilitator.
Prior to entering private practice, Naomi spent more than 16 years within DCJ across child protection and out-of-home care, including Casework and Manager Casework roles, as well as in the Joint Investigation Response Team replace with Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP). She also played a key role in the Adoptions Taskforce. In addition, Naomi supported survivors of institutional abuse as the Survivor Support Coordinator for the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle following the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
Her deep knowledge of child development, risk and safety assessment, and trauma-informed practice allows her to deliver balanced, comprehensive reports that support improved outcomes for children and families. Her unwavering commitment to integrity and genuinely child-centred practice is reflected in every intervention and assessment she undertakes at Child Expert Network.
