We are seeking skilled Child Experts dedicated to providing high quality, impartial, and child-focused assessments in Child Protection and Family Law matters.
Our work places the best interests of children at the centre of every assessment. Whether preparing a Family Report, conducting a Child Impact Assessment, or supporting Child-Inclusive Mediation, your professional insight will directly support children and families during some of their most difficult times.
Our central operations team handles referrals, bookings, document collation, invoicing, and report delivery—freeing you to focus on the clinical aspects of the work. With minimal administrative load, you can spend more time on what matters most: delivering child-focused, evidence based assessment.
You’ll join a trusted and respected network of professionals with decades of combined experience in forensic child and family assessment. We foster a culture of learning, mentoring, and collaboration ensuring you remain supported and professionally enriched in your work.
Our internal quality assurance process ensures every assessment meets a consistent and rigorous standard. Whether you're an experienced Child Expert or new to the role, you'll be guided by structured processes that reflect best practice and integrity.
We understand the importance of flexibility. At CEN, you can structure your work around your lifestyle while still contributing to high quality, time sensitive assessments. Many of our consultants successfully balance their work with other professional, academic, or personal pursuits.
Psychologists and Social Workers with a minimum of five years of experience working with children and families.
Practitioners skilled in working with complex family dynamics, including high conflict and risk elevated matters.
Those who value integrity, empathy, impartiality, and ethical practice.
Professionals interested in flexible contract work within a high-support, low hierarchy environment.
Whether you are an experienced Court Child Expert or transitioning from statutory child protection roles, or exploring new directions in child inclusive practice, we would love to hear from you.
